We are currently seeking an experienced WHS Coordinator to work across a range of infrastructure projects in the Newcastle and Hunter regions. This permanent position will be based out of our Head Office in Beresfield but see you spend the majority of your time out on site supporting a number of our civil infrastructure projects.
**About the role**:
In return for this role, we can offer a position that will give you the necessary support and autonomy to assist with the driving of an excellent WHS culture across our Group Operations.
**Mandatory**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety / Work Health & Safety (or equivalent);
- Experience with incident investigation (ideally ICAM or Taproot);
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with managers, executive and staff to achieve business outcomes;
- Current Drivers License;
- Construction Induction Training (White Card or equivalent);
- Subcontractor management experience;
- Experience in maintaining systems in accordance with AS4801 and ISO45001
- Experienced in conflict resolution;
- Competent computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Ability to problem solve and assist with making practical decisions in a high stress environment;
- Ability to consult and influence throughout all levels of the organisation;
- Ability to interpret legislation and related standards;
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and be on call, and
- Experience influencing Safe Behaviours throughout all levels of the organisation
**Preferable**:
- Extensive in-field experience working in similar Civil construction and/or TfNSW works
- Rail Safety Worker Competent
- Lead Auditor Qualified (WHS Management Systems);
- Qualifications / Experience in Risk Management Processes or similar;
- Certificate IV TAE
