Opalescent Group is seeking a proactive and organised Workshop Coordination & Logistics Lead to oversee the heartbeat of our production and dispatch operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-department environment and knows how to bring structure, clarity, and energy to every shift.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director/General Manager, you'll lead a small team and coordinate workflow across production, warehousing, and dispatch. You'll be the go-to for workshop scheduling, client shipment processes (Epicor), and continuous improvement initiatives. From managing a key client account to ensuring QA compliance and freight efficiency, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping our operations running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop operations and cross-departmental handovers
- Lead pre-start meetings and communicate priorities clearly
- Manage Epicor shipment entries and ensure timely dispatch
- Liaise with key clients to meet delivery expectations
- Coordinate goods inwards, stock control, and consumables management
- Drive lean manufacturing practices and ISO-aligned procedures
- Maintain workshop and yard safety, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep
- Support sign manufacturing and assembly tasks when required
- Champion WHS standards and team performance management
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in workshop coordination, logistics, or production leadership
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP systems (or willingness to learn)
- Forklift licence and current driver's licence preferred
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to multitask, delegate, and maintain high standards under pressure
At Opalescent Group, we don't just build signage—we build systems that support people and performance. This newly created role was developed in close consultation with our leadership team to strengthen workshop coordination and elevate logistics across the business. You'll be joining a culture that values clarity, accountability, and genuine care—where initiative is recognised, leadership is shared, and wellbeing is prioritised. We offer access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), regular team lunches to stay connected, and a supportive environment where your contribution truly matters.
