**Job Title**: Quality Assurance Officer
**Location**: EQ Food Manufacturing Facility
**Reports to**: QA Manager / Production Manager
**Employment Type**: Full-time

**Position Summary**:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Officer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the company’s quality and food safety systems in alignment with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. This role ensures that all products manufactured at EQ Food meet the required specifications for safety, legality, and quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished goods.
- Monitor adherence to product specifications, including weights, labelling, packaging, and coding.
- Verify cleaning, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.
- **Food Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, and relevant food safety regulations.
- Assist in the investigation of non-conformances, customer complaints, and product recalls.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, temperature checks, and hygiene verifications.
- **Documentation & Recordkeeping**:

- Maintain accurate QA documentation including batch records, CCP logs, verification records, and traceability forms.
- Perform regular internal audits and assist with external audits and inspections.
- Review and update SOPs, food safety plans, and QA protocols as needed.
- **Training & Communication**:

- Support onboarding and training of production staff in quality and food safety procedures.
- Communicate QA findings to management and suggest corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the facility.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in a food manufacturing quality assurance or control role.
- Understanding of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety legislation.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to conduct audits, investigations, and prepare detailed reports.
- Certificate in Food Safety, QA, or related field (preferred).

**Work Environment**:

- Fast-paced food production environment.
- Requires standing, walking, and some lifting.
- PPE must be worn at all times in production areas.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
