**The Role**

If you are an experienced APS 5/6 Procurement Officer looking for a long term labour hire role, are based in Canberra and have a baseline clearance, this just might be the role for you.

**Duties**
- Provide advice and guidance on procurement and contract management to internal stakeholders
- Ability to develop procurement strategies and manage procurement approaches in with Departmental policies, procedures, delegations and legislation
- Ability to support and facilitate for project areas on the development of procurement matters (procurement plan through to contracting/invoicing), in line with relevant legislative and operational requirements.
- Develop and administer procurement and contract management risk assessments
- Highly developed interpersonal, collaboration, communication and influencing skills to successfully develop and maintain relationships with a range of different stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
- Energetic, self-motivated and keen to take on new challenges, opportunities and learn new skills, with strategic and analytical thinking skills, and the ability to draw accurate conclusions based on evidence
- Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines to achieve results and deliver high quality outcomes.

**Qualifications and Education**:

- Proven ability to communicate effectively and navigate complex stakeholder relationship.
- Experience in procurement area and a working knowledge/understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and all relevant additional procurement related policies and legislation.
- Relevant qualifications and / or industry certification (E.g., Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting)
