**Responsibilities**:
As a APS5 or a APS6 Program Officer you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of various government initiatives and programs. Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Developing project plans and timelines and coordidating project activities.
- Creating detailed project plans, outlining project objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and potential risks and issues.
- Work with various stakeholders to ensure that project activities are aligned with the project plan and that project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Monitoring the project performance. Track progress against project plans and make adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring that spending remains within allocated budgets.
- Prepare regular status reports on project progress and communicate project status to project sponsors and other stakeholders.
- Provide advice and support to project teams, helping to resolve issues and overcome obstacles to project success.

Overall, as APS5/6 Program Officers you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of government programs and initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working in the government space - APS 5/6
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, are typically required for these roles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, are essential.
- Knowledge of government processes and procedures, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, is usually required.
- Security Clearance: APS5/6 Program Officer positions require a security clearance, which involves a background check and other security measures.
