**About the Position**

We are seeking a Bid Manager for our Vehicle & Tactical Systems (VTS) portfolio with a focus on the Protected Vehicle business.

Reporting to the Director Bids VTS the Bid Manager will lead a specialist team to deliver considered and compelling solutions addressing customer challenges within a governance framework.

Your day-to-day job requires professional bid management capabilities to be applied including:
Bringing structure, clarity and governance to the process and ensuring discipline relating to bid management activities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Leading nationally and internationally dispersed Bid Teams.
- Manage the preparation of pre-qualification and tender response submissions to customers worldwide with the objective of securing an invitation to bid or winning the contract itself.
- Manage the creation of the bid deliverables and ensuring review and governance, leading to the submission of a high-quality proposal.
- Work effectively with the Capture Leader to generate win themes that address customer problems and needs with defined benefits of the Thales offering.
- Ensure that cost estimates within the target budgets are provided with support from Systems Engineering / Product Management / Project Management and that the costs are effectively reviewed to ensure competitive and winning pricing.
- Continually presentation of key bid milestone review to senior stakeholders based in France in the evening due to time difference.

**How About You?**
- 3 - 7 years of Bid/Project Management experience in Defence Industry or Defence.
- Experience in a complex, multidisciplinary, multisite and multinational organisation.
- Can demonstrate the ability to construct solutions that meet the customer need, both commercially and technically.
- Internal and external stakeholder management experience on various levels.

**Good to Know**

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

Prior to offer you’ll complete a pre-employment police and medical check. Thales also complies with current public health orders in place and as such you may be requested to provide your COVID-19 vaccination record.
