**Position Information**:
Murray Farm Public School was established in 1969 and over its 53 year history has earned a reputation for academic, sporting and cultural excellence.

The school draws students from established areas in Carlingford, North Rocks and West Pennant Hills. The current enrolment of 942 has a Non-English Speaking Background (NESB) population of 88.6%.
Less than 1% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Murray Farm Public School is one of only four NSW Department of Education bilingual schools. Currently, 37% of students take part in the Japanese bilingual program. This is program highly valued by our students, staff and community and plays an important role within our school. Our Japanese Bilingual Teachers work in a co-teaching model with our classroom teachers and may teach students from Early Stage One to Stage 3 in the key learning areas of Science and Technology, Creative Arts and Japanese literacy

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Japanese and native speaker proficiency in Japanese. Please note this requires the applicant to have completed the Community Language Teachers Test or willingness to successfully complete, as well as any other native speaker proficiency.

Approval to teach Primary K-6

Capacity to incorporate information communication technology and innovative teaching ideas.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team, as a bilingual team member.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and liaise with classroom teachers to develop quality teaching programs across key learning areas within a K-6 setting.

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
