**Position Information**:
Melonba High School is a new site located in the suburb of Melonba near Marsden Park. It opened to Year 7 and 8 in 2024 and will grow to include Year 7, 8 and 9 cohorts in 2025 with an anticipated enrolment of 650 students. It is expected to experience rapid growth enrolment in the first 5 years of operation. When completed, the school will have capacity for 2000 students. The school will incorporate an innovative and future focused educational model, reflective of agile teaching and learning areas while also supporting the welfare needs of students. Explicit Teaching at Melonba High School is underpinned by a concerted focus on Learning Intentions/Success Criteria, Formative Assessment and Differentiated learning. The position of Teacher - Languages will sit within a growing HSIE and Language faculty
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach Japanese and Korean, 7-12.
- Effective classroom management skills which promote an engaging and inclusive learning environment, fostering a culture of high expectations for all students.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a faculty with a range of KLA's and the ability to lead the establishment of Languages through the development of programming, assessment and resource.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff and parents.
