Head of Internal Communications

We are seeking a Head of Internal Communications to join our Corporate Affairs and Communications team that sits within the Consumer division and works across the organisation. This role is offered on a permanent basis with a focus on enabling a meaningful internal communications strategy and plan across the organisation.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, deliver and implement the internal communications strategy and plan to enable the company to gain a deep understanding of our business strategy and objectives ensuring the right level of transparency and engagement.
- Partner with the Executive leadership team to deliver effective internal communications plans and content creation delivered through existing and emerging communication channels.
- Lead the development of content that engages all employees including employees at our sites, contractors and our partners.
- Support various organisation wide communication initiatives such as town halls, monthly business updates etc.
- Collaborate with all communications team members to ensure various internal initiatives are rolled out flawlessly and impactfully.
About you
The role requires someone driven, passionate, organised, and tenacious. The Head of Internal Communications will be an experienced communications operator with a desire to continuously learn and grow their craft.
- Agility to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
- Attention to detail and quality; and a strong commitment to delivery.
- Collaborative and customer centric.
- Ability to work through issues and problem-solve.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- 10 years’ experience in internal communications within a complex matrix environment
- Outstanding copywriting skills and the ability to write and edit a diverse range of written communications.
- Experience with change communications programs including planning and delivery.
- Experience in implementation of internal communication channels such as Facebook Workplace or Yammer.
- Proficiency in Office, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams Live Event.
- Event management experience required for internal communications events and the leverage of technology solutions.
