The Division is supported by several national functions including Human Resources, Officer Recruitment, Information Technology, Public Relations and Fundraising, Quality and Professional Standards, Property and Volunteers Management.
- Why this role matters
- The Administration Assistant is responsible for working within the Administration team to provide general administrative support to the Tasmania Division including Corps Officers and Divisional Staff.
- The role you could play
- Maintaining a tidy and welcoming reception space where visitors are managed in a courteous, efficient and non-intrusive manner
- Ensuring Tasmania State Office is well supported and equipped, and assistance is provided to Divisional Staff and Corps Officers
- Efficient and effective administration of office procedures so as to deliver timely service to the general public and colleagues
- Incoming calls and persons presenting to the office are screened and action taken as required
- Mail is collected from the Post Office Box, is sorted, screened, processed and distributed
- Maintenance of Divisional office requirements including supplies of stationery, kitchen and secure paper disposal
- WorkDay volunteer support is provided to Corps Officers by database entry and maintenance
- Prepare content and coordinate distribution of Divisional Communications including newsletters, event calendars and internal phone listings
- Assist with the logistics and implementation of events with the Tasmania Division as required
- Maintaining a clean and tidy Divisional Headquarters kitchen space
- This is a permanent part time position, Monday to Friday, 9.00am-3.00pm based in Derwent Park. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award, Level 3.

- What we’re looking for
- Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent) or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience, knowledge and skills
- A current and valid TAS Drivers Licence
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
