The Salvation Army Tasmania State Office provides several support functions to ensure the mission of our state is reinforced, including:

The Division is supported by several national functions including Human Resources, Officer Recruitment, Information Technology, Public Relations and Fundraising, Quality and Professional Standards, Property and Volunteers Management.

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a values-driven Administration Services Coordinator, to support the Division including Area Officers, Corps officers and Divisional staff. The role takes a lead in supporting the uplift in Divisional compliance and admin support to Corps by working with the Divisional Commander, Area Officers and Corps Officers. This will be achieved through the effective management and leadership of the Admin Support Officer role and functions.

Responsibilities include:

- Screen and action incoming calls and persons presenting to the office
- Sort, screen, process and distribute mail
- Facilitate Divisional fleet
- Support the Division, including the Divisional Commander, Area Officers and Corps Officers in achieving TSA compliance requirements for Volunteering, WHS and Safeguarding
- Organise travel and accommodation bookings for Divisional staff
- Prepare content and coordinate distribution of Divisional communications including Divisional newsletters, update TSA websites and events calendars, in collaboration with the Executive Assistant, as required
- Assist in the logistics and organisation for events within the Division
- Perform site safety and site induction for all new TSA staff working at DHQ
- Manage and oversee the implementation and delivery of the Admin Support Officer role within the Division
- Oversee and support team well-being, provide regular training, supervision to team

Reporting to the Tasmania Divisional Commander, this position is permanent full time based at our State Divisional Headquarters in Derwent Park.

What you can bring
- Minimum 5 years business or office administration experience
- Demonstrated experience in customer service
- Demonstrated experience in Team leadership and management essential
- Qualifications in Business Administration highly desirable
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- A current TAS Drivers Licence (desirable)
- Valid TAS Employee Working with Vulnerable Persons Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
