**About the Role**:

You will work directly and indirectly with an AHP under supervision following a delegated therapy program. This role requires flexibility across a broad range of therapeutic activities including the ability to accurately document, maintain client progress and support smooth operation of the Allied Health Assistant department. This role includes non-clinical support to the allied health team and ongoing commitment to professional development and learning.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work directly and indirectly with Allied Health Professionals to implement therapeutic interventions as delegated by the Health Professionals
- Provide clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals implementing therapy programs in consultation with the Allied Health Professionals
- Provide non-clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals including but not limited to administrative and cleaning tasks
- Demonstrate capacity to communicate with clinical staff regarding concern for patient, family or carer
- Responsible for the safe management of equipment - this includes using equipment within standard operating guidelines, conducting appropriate inspections, and arranging repairs.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance/Currently enrolled or intending to enrol within 3 months in an Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV
- Recent experience working in a health care or aged care setting.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including an ability to plan, set and prioritise workloads with tight deadlines
- Experience with computer systems including Microsoft Office

**Desirable**:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
