Ballarat, Australia Snapdragon Speech Full time

An opportunity to gain valuable experience as an Allied Health Assistant.

The role will be Casual, ideally 1-2 days per week. However, we are flexible around any study requirements or family commitments.

This position would be best suited for someone who is studying speech pathology.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Your key responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Deliver sessions to clients as outlined by the speech pathologist.
- Prepare resources and materials as outlined by the speech pathologist.
- Attend regular supervision.
- Write clinic notes for therapy sessions delivered.
- Communicate progress and obstacles with goals to the speech pathologist.
- Provide administration assistance (e.g. creating resources).
- Complete sessions with client's at our office in Ballarat Central, in client's homes and in the community.
- Keeping client files accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining client confidentiality at all times.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Studying Speech Pathology or relevant allied health profession _or _ Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Working with Children Check (or obtain prior to start date)
- National Police Check (or obtain prior to start date)
- First Aid Certificate (or obtain prior to start date)
- Ability to consistently follow a structured therapy plan devised by a qualified allied health professional.
- Drivers License and ability to use own car for mobile appointments (travel will be reimbursed).

**HOW TO APPLY**

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.96 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 - 15 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
