**About the Role**:
The Australian Schools Anti-Bullying Collective supports all Australian school communities with evidence-informed resources and activities to implement proactive approaches to bullying education and prevention.
The role of the Principal Policy Officer will be to provide expert advice and support on matters relating to student-to-student bullying (and student wellbeing and behaviour more broadly) to inform the ongoing delivery of content for the Bullying. No Way website.
**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:
- Researching national and international trends and evidence-informed approaches to preventing and responding to bullying, including cyberbullying;
- Developing evidence-informed resources and content for the Bullying. No Way website and its associated activities;
- Providing high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to student-to-student bullying, including cyberbullying.
- Preparing briefing material, correspondence and reports for the Minister, senior departmental officers, government agencies and other entities on issues related to bullying and the Australian Schools Anti-Bullying Collective.
- Provide strategic support to the Principal Advisor to assist with the implementation of systems and programs being delivered by the Australian Schools Anti-Bullying Collective team.
**About You**:
The successful applicant will have the following key attributes:
- High level knowledge and understanding of evidence-informed student behaviour and wellbeing practices that contribute to the prevention of bullying;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and critically analyse research and translate it into practice for education environments;
- Ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to work as part of a high functioning team, meet deadlines and function autonomously;
- Experience within the education environment, with particular skills in educational resource development at a regional or state level is highly desirable.
