**About the Role**:
**Applicants will demonstrate all of the following**:

- a record of leadership and team project management skills and proven capacity to develop strategic policy, guidelines and implementation strategies
- high level research and analytical skills, with a proven ability to initiate, implement, monitor and report on complex projects within set timeframes.
- record of contribution to and achievement of, strategies and initiatives to support the achievement of work unit outcomes including the ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients.
- knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of best practice, legislation, policies and trends in improving outcomes for students with disability, student inclusion, behaviour or student wellbeing, with a proven ability to prepare related reports and submissions at a senior level.

As the Principal Policy Officer, Student Inclusion, you will work across portfolio areas in the Diversity, Disability and Inclusion team. In this role, applicants will be required to:

- write Ministerial, DG and DDG/ADG responses to correspondence within tight timeframes and provide timely, accurate responses to OADG requests.
- design high quality resource documents for distribution/publication.
- create infographic summaries of data sets and research translation.
- write contracts and contract variations.
- conduct and manage procurement and tender processes.
- proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Adobe Creative Software an advantage.
