**About the role**
- Carry out accurate and timely lab testing that directly supports patient care - your precision makes a real impact.
- Take ownership of maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and upholding a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
- Communicate critical results quickly and clearly and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes.
- Help maintain high standards by monitoring quality control, supporting the quality system, and mentoring junior team members.
- Stay engaged through ongoing learning, attend scientific sessions and team meetings, and bring flexibility to your rostered shifts to help the team thrive.

**About you**
- You hold a tertiary qualification in scientific or technical field relevant to the practice of pathology.
- You bring recent hands-on experience in microbiology, preferably in a clinical setting.
- You're proactive about your professional development and regularly engage in continuing education to keep your skills sharp and up to date.
- You're confident using laboratory information systems and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office to support your day-to-day workflow.
- You're a team player who also works well independently, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and you're ready to contribute to a rotating shift roster when needed.
