**About the Domain Lead role:
Reporting to the Chief Digital Technology Officer the Domain Lead will deliver some of the most complex and highest impact initiatives across the Group. You’ll play a trusted partner role to our Business Platform leaders on how technology from your domain will enable their strategy, whilst advising on the trade-offs that should be considered to optimise outcomes.
These newly created role will also work in partnership with our practices, enabling digital experiences across all Woolworths Group teams, customers and businesses. They are unique positions that hold a high degree of specificity whilst directly orchestrating large multi-disciplined technology teams across Engineering, Product and Experience.
To be successful in this position, you must possess high-impact communication skills that facilitate deep collaboration between technical and non-technical functions throughout Woolworths, with a proven ability to deliver technology based solutions at scale.
**What you’ll do:
- Facilitating the delivery of the digital technology strategy through the product, design and engineering leads reporting to this role.
- Determining the “what”, “how” and “form” of Digital Technology outcomes that enable Platform and Business Unit Strategies.
- Defining the product roadmap and technology strategy for the domain that ladders up to the overall WooliesX strategy.
- Ensuring that the domain team fully leverages the thought-leadership of Practice Leaders and the shared capabilities provided by the Enablement team.
- The performance and ways of working demonstrated by domain team members, including how Product, Experience Design and Engineering specialists come together to realise business unit objectives.
- Managing spend and cost allocation to budget for the domain.
- The governance and guardrails of what and how the domain team delivers technology solutions.
- Creating and maintaining infrastructure and systems that are reliable, secure, cost effective and performant.
**What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years as an experienced, commercially focused technology senior leader with a track record of bringing diverse talent and styles together to generate innovation with high-performing, engaged teams.
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a way that resonates with non-technical stakeholders and colleagues.
- Familiarity with a “scaled agile” work environment and ability to achieve outcomes across the organisation without relying on hierarchical authority.
- Ability to anticipate and identify issues and opportunities quickly, responding with agility to changes in the environment.
- Demonstrate a customer and team first mindset and commercially oriented and willing to take informed risks.
- Able to impact and inspire, create an inclusive and diverse culture that minimises biases and guide teams on the methods and considerations that will achieve optimal results.
