We are seeking a A04 Project Officer/Project Support for a initial 5 month contract. The Project Officer will be working within the Corporate Services Department. This role will be based west of Brisbane CBD, with hybrid work from home arrangements.
**About the Role**
In this role, you be reporting to the Program Manager providing essential project administration support to a key Business Transformation project. You will be responsible for working collaboratively across all Council departments with internal and external stakeholders, establishing and maintaining successful relationships.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- To provide high quality administrative, program and project support to the Program, a business led technology transformation program.
- Manage the program budget, co-ordinating with stakeholders as necessary to ensure that timely and correct budget information is available and reported.
- Manage the program deliverable management process, ensuring that the correct review and approval process is followed.
- Manage and maintain the Program schedule in collaboration with the Program Lead.
- Assist with project risk and issue identification, analysis and that appropriate mitigations are put in place.
- Assist the Program Lead with stakeholder management and communications, including status reporting, meeting minutes and other project documentation to various stakeholders.
- Prepare relevant project and program documentation and performance reporting across Council including but not limited to project plans, schedules, milestones for monitoring, reporting, quality control, risk management, communications and change management.
- Provide timely and efficient coordination and dissemination of project material.
- Contribute to developing a workplace environment that values performance, continuous improvement, and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
- Perform any other duties that are reasonably within the competency, skills and training of the incumbent as may be directed from time to time by the position’s supervisor.
**About You**
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Project Officer or Project Support or similar (Experience commensurate with A04 level)
- Previous background with ICT Projects. (Desirable)
- Demonstrated project management experience in a project or program delivery position within a local government, private sector and/or comparable complex environment. (mandatory)
- Experience in, or a sound understanding of local government, program planning and project management.
- A sound ability to think strategically, research, and evaluate information with a sound understanding of program and project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple programs and projects with superior time-management, organisation, and negotiation skills.
- High level oral and written communication skills including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and the capacity to build and maintain positive relationships.
**The Benefits**
This opportunity offers you an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend, and an hourly rate of $45 per hour + Superannuation (negotiable).
