We are a small family business located in Sydney’s West which is expanding and looking for a particular person who is able to juggle different roles. We are offering, the right applicant a professional clean & modern office/warehouse in a small pleasant team environment with the emphasis on long term employment.
We are after an experienced Customer Service Officer. Employment is full time, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Prefer applicant to be local to the area and hold a valid Australian drivers’ license.
- Must show excellent English verbal & written communication skills.
- High organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Able to continually find solutions to problems.
- The ability to work within a small team environment & be flexible enough to handle whatever needs doing on a daily basis. Eg. helping out in the warehouse, or slotting in for annual leave employees.
- Getting things done right and not cutting corners, learning from mistakes.
- Organised work space and precise details given to customers.
- Courteous, clear phone manner & great computer skills.
- Must have current Australian drivers’ license.
- Permanent unlimited ongoing working rights within Australia and evidence of same. (Australian citizenship or permanent residency status).
**Duties will include**:
- Liaising with shipping companies and organising incoming stock paperwork.
- Liaising with our warehouse & despatch team re incoming & outgoing orders.
- Following up on back orders/ deliveries/suppliers/tracking freight & customer service.
- Handling imported shipments and related documentation, tallying costs of imported invoices.
- Counter sales, invoicing and credits.
- General administrative shipping tasks.
- Chasing up freight companies for lost or delayed freight.
- Preparing and loading supplier orders.
- Some freight logistics and organising connotes and manifests for daily runs.
- Using spare parts programs, “Micronet” (which will be trained)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word software.
This position is available immediately and the salary package will be negotiated for the right applicant. $58k - $60K
