The opportunity

As part of QBE’s global HR function (recently renamed ‘People’), the Group People Operations team play a key role in progressing our Talent and Culture roadmap as we build QBE for the future. In this role, you will focus on enabling efficient and effective HR digital processes for the Compensation module within Workday. Coming from either a technical background or HR background, you will develop into a Subject Matter Expert in ‘reward processes to partner with our Reward team to suggest improvement opportunities that ensure user requirements meet our business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:
- Work with the Reward team to plan, prioritise, schedule and lead system and process improvements in the Reward space.- Lead the system development and manage the annual global compensation review process (Annual Merit Review)- Undertake the analysis of business problems and translate them into requirements to ensure solution meets business requirements.- Analyse workflow, create process maps and frequently review and evaluate internal processes for improvement opportunities.- Research and investigate industry best practice compensation systems/tools/processes and showcase these to your stakeholders.- Identify issues and risks, ensuring that they are appropriately captured raised and actioned.- Ensuring business requirements are sufficiently detailed to enable further project documentation to be documented including technical designs and testing documentation.- Ensuring business requirements are managed throughout project and program lifecycle.- Build and maintain strong relationships with information technology colleagues and business customers to ensure business requirements are well communicated and understood.

About You

A person with solid experience in HR or IT, you can operate in a consultative fashion with your stakeholders. To be successful you will have a structured and polished communication style that can translate user requirements into business cases and influence at all levels. Further criteria include:
- Proven experience within a HR Reward space- Practical experience of continuous improvement methods and process knowledge- Practical experience of working with HR systems and in particular within the compensation space- Ability to build relationships and provide consultative advice to cross-functional teams- Experience working in large and complex organisations, ideally a regulated environment- Creative thinker with enterprise mindset- Workday experience (desirable)
