- ** Drive sales for accommodation, conferencing and functions across a portfolio of ALH hotels**:
- ** Part time opportunity - 20 hours/3 days per week, remote working from Hobart**
As a **Business Development Executive**, you will be responsible for developing accommodation, conferencing and functions business for a portfolio of ALH hotels.
You will do this by driving new business opportunities from key market segments, and effectively managing existing business relationships.
**What you’ll do**:
- Promote, sell and secure new business opportunities for the venue across accommodation, conference and functions
- Target new business and manage existing business relationships across inbound, groups, corporate and events markets
- Grow sales through actively managing existing client relationships
- Build/maintain relationships with key volume clients in all relevant markets
- Participate in all tenders upon request
- Negotiate and contract a level of new and existing business to maximise income
- Minimum level of sales calls and cold calls per week
- Represent at industry functions and tradeshows where appropriate
- Support local and state marketing activities to grow income
- Maintain client database, contracts and agreements effectively
**Qualifications**:
**What you’ll need**:
- Proven results and experience in a Business Development Executive/Manager role, exposure to the hospitality industry would be advantageous
- Previous exposure and experience with a variety of markets
- Experience in managing key customer relationships
- Professionally presented with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Love what you do and be a team player with a hands on attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
