**THE OPPORTUNITY**
**Position Overview**
The Business Development, Pipeline and Alliances Specialist supports the strategy and execution of three key areas;
1**. Business Development**, scope includes analytical support for proactive and reactive local, regional and global opportunities.
2. **Pipeline planning**, includes the forecasting of future products identified as strategically significant by the commercial business.
3. **Alliance support**, includes the analytics required to optimise and evolve strategic alliance management across the business as well as supporting to drive the metrics to track and measure performance of partnerships.
The role will provide analytics for data driven decision making and financial scenario planning, collaborating broadly and deeply with cross functional stakeholders to achieve a co-ordinated and strategic approach to support the three key areas outlined above.
**Tasks**
- Identify and elaborate input to design and develop, with key cross-functional teams, specific business cases to analyse and evaluate new deals relevant.
- Provide analytical data and support as required to review local and global opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and align short and long-term strategies for partnerships
- Support with market research for new or potential business growth areas.
- Support with scouting process to build business growth through identification of potential opportunities including new products or line extensions in collaboration with internal business units.
- Collaborate with relevant BU in monitoring partners adherence to the different service-level agreements and performance metrics included in global/regional and local contract.
- Understand and applies regulatory/compliance requirements relative to the role.
- Applies knowledge of internal and external business challenges to improve products, processes or services, and identify growth opportunities in the market.
- Support effective partner management and seamless execution on current alliances.
- Supporting in project management, defining effectively tracking tools, collecting clear actions, responsibilities and timelines for all parties involved.
- Guidance provided to develop and update financial forecasts and conduct regular reviews with finance on product forecasts and current results.
**Skills (professional and/or technical)**
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Proven analytical background with advanced Excel skills
- Data driven mindset, with a focus on insight generation for strategic decision making.
- Demonstrates a strong innovative and creative thinking skills to solve complex problems.
- Challenges current services, technologies or products and recommends alternative solutions.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with a demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities.
- Possesses a growth mindset and is self-motivated to deliver and execute new strategic ideas.
- Resilience and ability to excel in a fast paced and potentially ambiguous environment.
**Experience**
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial role, ideally at least in part within the biopharmaceutical industry.
**Education / Certificates**
Degree qualified Bachelor of Business/Marketing/Analytics Management.
