We are committed to diversity and inclusion and are able to offer flexible work arrangements, remote locations may also be considered, where feasible. While we are primarily located in Canberra, we have staff geographically dispersed across Australia, deployed to support Australian Defence Force operations across the globe, and working alongside our international partner agencies
**About our Team**
The BECP Directorate is a critical enabler for delivering the AGO mission and is held in high regard by AGO senior management. It consists of three teams: Contracts & Procurement; Panel & Deeds; and Finance.
BECP is a very busy directorate that works collaboratively across AGO to deliver priority outcomes for the organisation. We seek to continually build commercial and financial expertise in ourselves, and take pride in delivering quality solutions and advice to stakeholders.
The BECP team value diversity, inclusion and flexibility; and we strive to be innovative in our approach. BECP is responsible for delivering:

- management of AGO’s operating budget on behalf of Director AGO; and
- management of the GeoPanel; a key strategic tool for sourcing geospatial data and imagery for delivering AGO’s core production and intelligence functions.
We work collaboratively across AGO stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for the organisation.
Depending on the level, you will either have demonstrated experience in contracting and procurement for government; or are keen to establish this as a rewarding career path.
- You have an understanding of government procurement policies, processes and principles;
- An ability to interpret contract terms and conditions and assess subsequent risks is highly desirable;
- You will be committed to continually growing your skills through learning and enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with others;
- You will have good communication and stakeholder engagement skills; exceptional attention to detail; embrace integrity; and have a high regard for probity and compliance;
- You are a highly motivated person who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment with shared responsibilities for delivering outcomes;
