**Your role**

This is a unique opportunity to use your expertise and skills in social media, leadership and key stakeholder management to develop, advise, represent and implement DCJ’s social media strategies.

The Social Media Manager delivers diverse social media content, guidance, and projects aligned to organisational priorities. While leading a small team, the Social Media Manager is pivotal in the development, execution, and upkeep of all the social media channels and strategy, offering marketing expertise to all departmental units.

**What you’ll do**
- Using best-practice and NSW Government Social Media guidelines, manage the DCJ’s presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X and TikTok, and respond to any issues and inquiries that originate on the department’s social media profiles.
- Develop and publish engaging content that promotes DCJ’s programs and initiatives.
- Measure, analyse and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns delivered by the team and other teams in the department.
- Provide strong leadership of the Social Media Team providing support and feedback to help them develop their skills and manage their workload.
- Provide advice and support to stakeholders across the department on social media services that meet the department’s business needs and support its overall communication strategies.
- Monitor trends in social-media marketing practice and make recommendations to the department about adopting new practices to meet the department’s communication and marketing needs.

**What we’re looking for**
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding of industry-leading social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and X, and their use as strategic communication and engagement tools in a complex environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in media/communications/digital and social media marketing and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
