Village Support Officer

Dee Why Gardens is currently seeking a Village Support Officer for our retirement village located within Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Our village comprises both Serviced Apartments and Independent Living Units (no Residential Aged Care).
Duties will include responding to resident enquiries, overseeing our community facilities, conducting welfare checks on residents and referring them to our home care consultant, assisting with our colourful village events, responding to call outs, undertaking first aid and initiating emergency services where required. Shifts will be a mixture of daytime shifts and sleepover shifts on a Casual basis (with the possibility of permanency). Additional assistance will be required for leave coverage.
To be successful you must;
- Hold a current Senior/Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- Be able to make critical decisions
- Be highly motivated, able to take initiative and adapt as required.
- Computer Skills (desirable)
Dee Why Gardens has recently completed a major building refurbishment of our community facilities and serviced apartments. The successful applicant will join a large friendly team committed to improve the lives of those within the village.

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check, will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October as well as provide proof of the COVID-19 Vaccination with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles more physical in nature, pre-employment medical assessments may also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
