The Role

Set back from traffic and amongst expansive landscaped gardens, Dee Why Gardens is one of Sydney’s most tranquil senior living communities.

Our award-winning refurbished community centre and café/dining facilities are the heart of the community and are constantly filled with music, events and activities. The village consists of both Independent living units and Serviced Apartments (No Aged Care).

Our lovely team at Dee Why Gardens are currently seeking a Village Support Officer to join them on a casual basis. A variety of shifts available including morning and afternoon shifts combined with sleepover shifts. Additional assistance will be required for leave coverage.

Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include:
- Assisting with our colourful village events- Overseeing our community facilities- Responding to resident enquiries- Responding to call outs- Undertaking first aid- Initiating emergency services where required- Basic admin tasks- Conducting welfare checks on residents

About You- A current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)- The ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure- Be motivated and able to take initiative- Basic computer skills

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre-employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
