Due to the growth of our ongoing new home projects, we are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our procurement team.

**About the opportunity**

Our Procurement Officer reports to the National Procurement Manager and is part of the NXT Building Group Procurement team based at our Norwest central office. Your focus will be to source and maintain vendor pricing for a broad range of products and inputs for residential construction. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

- Completing Request for Quote (RFQ) including, reviewing existing inventory, preparation of RFQ, receipt and review of RFQ
- Establish improved efficiencies in the discontinued product process
- Understanding and interpreting a variety of supplier price files and make necessary updates with supplier agreements
- Establishing accurate inventory control encompassing the creation, checking of information, and pricing
- Complete price/product comparisons of all Suppliers and Contractors product/labour rates to improve quality, pricing and reliability
- Overseeing and coaching the Procurement administrator
- Identify ETS orders and report on the accuracy of the information and research the cost overrun to the department

**About you**

You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:

- Experience in the RFQ process
- Ideally exposure to the Residential building industry
- Previous experience in Production or Sales estimating
- Have strong verbal communication skills to ensure clarity and relationship building
- The ability to clearly articulate compliance requirements to suppliers and contractors
- Attention to detail, accurate reporting, and data input capabilities
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Ability to plan, strategize and implement
- Medium to advanced knowledge Microsoft Office
- Competent use of analytical tools for data review
