**About the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO)**
The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) is a statutory body established under the Aboriginal Housing Act 1998 (NSW) to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW have access to affordable, quality housing.
The AHO is governed by an all-Aboriginal Board, and prides itself on having majority Aboriginal staff. The AHO works alongside Aboriginal organisations and communities to support the Aboriginal housing sector and deliver policies and programs that result in positive outcomes for communities across NSW.

**Your role**
The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) is currently seeking to appoint an Executive Support Officer for the Director Policy and Evidence. You will provide a range of executive support and administrative services to facilitate the delivery of business operations to support the Director and Policy and Evidence team to achieve organisational objectives.
**What you’ll do**
As part of the AHO Policy and Evidence team you will:
- Assess and prioritise requests to facilitate the optimal use of the Director’s time.
- Manage the Director’s diary appointments, records and correspondence, coordinate travel arrangements, and schedule and support meetings to facilitate the effective management of their agenda.
- Draft and prepare correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations and briefing notes to support the achievement of business requirements.
- Gather, collate and provide background information for the Director to support informed decision making and planning.
- Maintain and update administrative practices, systems and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery in line with policy.
- Prepare newsletters and organise events as well as supporting onboarding of new staff members and arranging and greeting visitors/guests.
- Complete invoicing/accounts payable coordination for the Directorate.
**What we’re looking for**
- Strong executive support skills, an expert at managing calendars, coordinating meetings and handling correspondence to ensure the Director and team are supported in their goals.
- Excellent relationship management and communications skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
