**Purpose of Role**:
The Payroll and Systems Manager will manage timely and accurate processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls, across Australia which encompasses approx. 1,400 employees based within our support office, retail operations, supply chain and manufacturing sites. You will maintain and optimise Payroll and Time and Attendance systems that align with business goals and objectives and provide fit for purpose reporting and analytics whilst ensuring appropriate controls and governance is in place for a growing business

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Leadership**:

- Provide leadership, direction and support to the team and ensure appropriate resources and skills and knowledge are available to achieve results.
Develop and optimise an understanding of team strengths, weaknesses, and development opportunities. Set team KPIs.

**Payroll and Remuneration**:

- Provide recommendations and solutions covering specific areas of remuneration including salary and wages planning, market analysis, job design, variable pay planning, benefit planning, and/or other services as required.
- Monitor and analyse remuneration industry trends and relevant market data to benchmark Fantastic Furniture practices and programs providing recommendations for improvement.

**Operational Excellence**:

- Remuneration and payroll processes are compliant with all relevant legislative requirements with alignment to organisational remuneration policies and support and improve and maintain service levels, efficiencies, and data integrity of information in payroll and timekeeping systems
- Management of remuneration and payroll processes (Retail/Supply Chain and Manufacturing/Support Office) and cyclical activities such as the annual remuneration review, bonus, and incentive programs.
- Payroll systems are maintained to accurately pay Team Members in accordance with contracts of employment, relevant Modern Award's / Enterprise Agreements and Fair Work Act
- Conduct regular audits of all remuneration /payroll processes to ensure data integrity of all data / systems and identification of risks or non-compliance and identification of risks

**Business Growth**:

- Designing and implementing processes to improve service levels, efficiencies, and data integrity of information in payroll and timekeeping systems. Working with system providers to achieve goals.
- Assist in the governance of the remuneration framework including assisting with preparation of management and board papers
- Accurate and insightful design and delivery of people metrics on a timely basis***

**Success Profile - Person Specification**:
**Work Experience**:

- Essential: Previous Payroll and Remuneration Management experience within Retail/FMCG industries 5+ years, managing a team of 2 or more team members.
High level of knowledge in payroll compliance and operating a complex payroll, including strong ability with award-based employee environments, in particular the General Retail and Manufacturing and Associated Industries awards. Demonstrates high attention to detail accompanied with strong numerical and analytical skills. Strong computer literacy with capability in using systems and technology.
- Desirable: ASX listed experience contributing to board papers. Experience using Dayforce, Attaché Payrolls, Time and Attendance solutions

**Qualifications**:

- Desirable: Degree or equivalent in HR, Accounting, Payroll or related field. Demonstrated ability to prepare, investigate and present accurate and comprehensive reports

**Technical Skills**:

- Essential: In-depth payroll and remuneration skills
