At Fantastic Furniture, we're all about making life fantastic for our customers and our people. We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive **Payroll Officer** to join our People & Safety team. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring our team members are paid accurately, on time, and in line with all legislative and compliance requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing end-to-end payroll processing for a large employee base, across both salaried and award staff.
- Ensuring compliance with Awards, Enterprise Agreements, superannuation, taxation, and other legislative requirements.
- Handling payroll calculations including entitlements, deductions, and leave.
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
- Reviewing and verifying timesheets, system data, and variations to maintain accuracy.
- Providing advice to managers and team members on payroll-related queries.
- Contributing to payroll system upgrades, testing, and process improvement projects.

What We're Looking For

- 2 + years' payroll experience, ideally within retail, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, modern awards, and Enterprise Agreements.
- Advanced Excel and payroll system skills.
- Experience with Dayforce (highly desirable).
- A keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships across all levels.
