**About the opportunity**

We’re looking for a **Transport Optimisation Manager** to join our dynamic NSW Transport team based in Sydney. This is a key leadership role that will support the delivery of Australia Post’s broader strategic transformation through tactical transport optimisation initiatives.

Working closely with the NSW/ACT Transport Manager, you’ll play a central role in improving operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance across our transport networks—helping us deliver like never before.

**What you’ll deliver with us**

In this role, you’ll:

- Implement the national transport efficiency strategy at a state level, coordinating and executing tactical initiatives.
- Analyse and interpret operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities and service enhancements.
- Partner with facility managers to deliver practical support for local optimisation programs and monitor change effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), transport legislation, and safety requirements.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team that embraces continuous improvement and customer-first thinking.

- Design and deliver sustainable transport optimisation programs.
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationships and consult on local change initiatives.
- Champion a culture of safety, performance, and inclusivity in everything you do.

You bring a strong understanding of transport operations, change leadership, and stakeholder engagement. With a passion for improving systems and processes, you’re motivated to deliver positive results for customers, teams, and the business.

**You’ll also need**
- Strong experience leading change and influencing at an operational level.
- In-depth knowledge of CoR, transport compliance, and fatigue management legislation.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a time-sensitive, unionised environment.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team development skills.
