An exciting new opportunity has been made available to join our design team based in our Melbourne Head Office, where you will be required to support the Collections Manager, contributing innovative, relevant and original ideas to enrich our accessories collection.

**About the position**:

- Collaborate with the Collections Manager to conceptualise and develop new handbag and accessory designs that reflect Scanlan Theodore's luxury identity and resonate with our clients
- Assist in creating detailed sketches, renderings, digital mock-ups and tech packs to communicate these design concepts effectively
- Conduct trend research and present findings to the Design Room, contributing to the development of seasonal design themes and concepts
- Source and develop premium materials and hardware components that align with Scanlan Theodore's standards of quality and luxury
- Collaborate with international suppliers and manufacturers to source and product seasonal components, materials and products
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for handbag and accessory designs, providing accurate instructions for the production process
- Review and provide constructive feedback on samples, ensuring that the final products meet design and quality expectations
- Manage logistics related to prototypes, samples and orders, including shipping and tracking, ensuring due dates are adhered to

**What are we seeking?**
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working in fashion design and product development
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design skills, with a focus on handbags and accessories
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Solid understanding of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes for handbags and accessories
- Effective organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Dedication to luxury fashion and a keen eye for detail, style and composition
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment
