**Assistant Buyer**

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced
- **Assistant Buyer** to join the business in a role that is responsible for coordinating the buying process to ensure key deliverables of the buying cycle and critical paths are met for both Nine West and Dune London.
- Reporting to the Buyer, responsibilities include:
- Managing trend forecasting from pre-buy through to in-season trend direction for the buying and retail team.
- Liaising with the Buyer and the US & UK office to set up styles for initial orders, re-orders and special requests.
- Assisting with the buy process on trips to Market Week in the US & UK.
- Supporting the Buyer in ensuring all orders placed have the correct style details.
- Supporting the Buyer with sourcing product from external Vendors including price negotiation and fit sampling.
- Providing support on assortment planning, climatic gridding and OTB management.
- Maintenance of product assets and compilation of ranging collateral for internal use
- Conduct regular store visits to obtain product performance feedback.
- Developing product reports for internal use.
- Liaising regularly with our retail teams in relation to product information, new release information and product specifications.

**The Requirements**
We are seeking an organised and self-motivated product enthusiast who is driven to achieve results and can easily transition between the creative, commercial and administrative components of this varied position. As well as this, the following skills and attributes will contribute to your success in the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
- 1-2 years of proven success as an Assistant Buyer (or similar)
- Understanding and experience in designing/developing accessories (specifically footwear and handbags)
- Strong creative flair and solid understanding of local/international market and fashion trends
- Energetic, self-motivated and action oriented
- Excellent communication and time management skills and high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and effectively plan and be proactive in all facets of the role
- Unrestricted working entitlements in Australia
