Stop Staring is a high-end women's consignment boutique that recycles preloved clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. The store is located in the heart of South Yarra and has been operating since 2014. Recycling has been on-trend, and our mission is to be a full-service high-end designer consignment boutique that contributes towards sustainable fashion.

The position of a casual Retail Sales and Social Media Associate generally entails providing customer service and daily operational support. Daily operational support may vary given the size and nature of Stop Staring as a single, niche business. Social media and merchandising experience will be highly regarded.

We are offering 4 hour shifts on Tuesday (each fortnight), Thursday, Friday and Saturday (each fortnight).
- A minimum of 2 years retail experience;
- Aspires to grow and develop with an ambition to becoming a store manager;
- Knowledgeable and passionate about high-end, designer fashion;
- Presents and communicates with confidence;
- Subscribes to a smart, neat and tidy dress code;
- Demonstrates an eye for detail;
- Applies personal etiquette at all times whilst on the shop floor; and
- Enjoys variety and is prepared to be flexible with duties and times.

The role will include, inter alia:

- Provision of customer service, including greeting customers, providing fitting room assistance and general fashion advice;
- Recording of sales;
- Processing of payments;
- Producing posts to social media and general marketing activities;
- Researching comparative prices;
- Competitive shopping;
- Window dressing/merchandising;
- Managing the appearance of display rails and stock returns;
- Assisting with the receipt of items which are to be consigned by Linda, and preparing them for sale (which may include steaming, tagging, and inspecting the quality of each item);
- Loss prevention; and
- Maintaining store and clothing rail appearance. This may include general cleaning of the shop such as dusting, wiping down of the shop-window and vacuuming dust build-up on the display floor.

Pay: $32.06 - $38.48 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 10 per week

Schedule:

- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- luxury retail sales: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English fluently (required)
