**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technicianto join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team.

The role will be an embedded within No. 2 Squadron Ground Support section at RAAF Base Williamtown. Primary duties will include the management of maintenance activities relating to Class 1 and Class 2 GSE.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform the duties equivalent to GSE Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), to include Tradesperson and Trade Supervisor.
- Build GSE maintenance experience with the intent of establishing the role as an expert/Subject Matter Expert (SME) on AEW&C specific GSE and Air Force common GSE.
- Ensure compliance with the Defence Safety Manual and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines.
- Ensure Record of Training and Employment (RTE) is current and associated authorisations remain up to date.
- Identify and where possible correct maintenance shortfalls, and when outside your level of competency report to your superiors whilst offering solutions.
- Perform secondary duties as delegated by Senior Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (SNCOIC) GSE.

**Key Relationships**
- Reports to Senior Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (SNCOIC) GSE.
- 2SQN Unit Personnel.
- BDA Warehouse and S&TE staff.
- Functional reports to BDA Operations Manager.
- Maintains a close working relationship with 2SQN stakeholders.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Knowledge of, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Highly organised, task oriented, self-starter that demonstrates a high degree of initiative and requires mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a Defence environment maintaining equipment - preferably GSE.
- Must meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations agreement.
- Minimum NV1 Security Clearance or able to obtain NV1 Security Clearance as per Australian Department of Defence requirements.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Cert 3 in Electro technology Electrician
- Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) Licence code RAC01 which is a Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence
