**The Opportunity** We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the Mission Systems Simulation Laboratory and Operation Mission Simulator system located in Williamtown, Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in the electronics, communication and/or networking. As part of the local Ground Support Systems Maintenance Technician Team, you will be responsible for the ongoing Maintenance and Engineering support activities for the ground-based mission systems located in Williamtown. **Responsibilities** - Maintaining & Operating advanced Mission System Simulators & Lab equipment in a fast-paced environment - Installation and Integration of engineered modifications and upgrades to the Simulation hardware and connectivity. - Maintenance and Repair of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) enterprise data and communications equipment. - Troubleshooting to isolate faults and repair faulty devices. - Installation of Modifications and upgrades - Working collaboratively achieve required outcomes. **Experience/Qualifications** - Minimum Certificate III in Electronics and Communications or related qualification and industry experience is **essential**. - A National Restricted Electrical or Qualified Electrical Supervisor License, or the ability to obtain one is **highly desirable**. - Experience and knowledge with E-7A Mission Systems is **highly desirable**. - Networking, IT and Linux based systems knowledge is desirable. - You love learning and exploring new technology. - A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude. - Enjoy working in a diverse team. - Exceptional analytical, complex problem solving and communication skills and an ability to build strong stakeholder relationships is **essential**. - Have excellent time management skills as you will need to be able to prioritise workloads and shift focus as necessary. - Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements, **NV2** clearance **highly desirable**. **About Us** Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.
