**The Role**
The Aerodromes Maintenance Manager implements and coordinates the local RAAF Base Aerodrome Maintenance Program to ensure the Aerodromes certification basis is sustained IAW DASR.139 regulation and applicable aerodrome standards.
The Aerodrome Maintenance Manger will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to the Aerodrome Maintenance Program. They will interpret and provide advice within the scope of aerodrome maintenance provisions based on legislation, policy and procedures.
They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct investigations and perform procedural, clerical and administrative support work to ensure the aerodrome certification basis is maintained.
The APS 5 Aerodrome Maintenance Manager may be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

The airbase operations team assists with delivering Defence capability, by providing certified aerodromes that are well maintained and support safe flight operations on Defence Bases across Australia.
We deliver a range of functions to satisfy the Aerodrome Maintenance Program, assuring appropriate ongoing maintenance is carried out by suitably qualified, competent and authorised individuals and/or organisations.
