**About the Role**:
The Internal Communications and Engagement Implementation Lead is responsible for the delivery of clear and effective internal communications and updates across Melbourne Polytechnic through a variety of channels. Communications will inform, engage and motivate staff on strategic, cultural and business transformation initiatives, bringing Melbourne Polytechnic’s vision and values to life.
**Duties**:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Internal Communications and Engagement Strategy and annual communications plans for Melbourne Polytechnic.
- Manage and optimise internal communication digital channels across the institute, ensuring that strategic initiatives, news, changes and updates are communicated effectively and consistently.
- Create engaging, audience-focused content that aligns with organisational needs and values.
- Manage, maintain and coordinate content for Melbourne Polytechnic’s intranet (SharePoint).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, source and develop stories that align to strategic initiatives and demonstrate the impact of our people and programs.
- Provide training, advice and support to enable stakeholders to effectively use internal communications channels and to build their own SharePoint department pages.
- Liaise with the Melbourne Polytechnic ICT department to develop, maintain and optimise the staff portal and/or other relevant IT systems, ensuring communication tools are effective and meet the needs of the audience.

**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism or relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and demonstrable experience in copywriting and editing, with the ability to translate complex information in ‘plain language’.
- Excellent planning and time management skills, with experience using the MS Office suite and the ability to work independently and prioritise in an agile, high-volume and changing environment.
- Demonstrated experience and familiarity with a range of digital media, content management systems and communications platforms, including, but not limited to SharePoint and Viva Engage (Yammer).
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing targeted, impactful and measurable communications campaigns.
