**About the role**

The Payroll Officer Internship program is an opportunity for duration of 3 months. The payroll officer will supports the Service Delivery and Finance Operation Team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Understand the payroll processing on a weekly, twice monthly, fortnightly & monthly basis
- Observe how to create, organise and follow up on timesheets for contractors/ support worker staff
- Learning to sorting out, proper allocation and reconciliations of timesheet reports on a twice monthly basis for payroll purposes
- Observe how to process new starters on payroll
- Learn to update contractors and payroll records, and general administrative tasks
- Understand the reconciliation of bank statements, PAYG tax, Superfund and payroll reports
- Learn the Accounts Payable & payments system.
- Review the processing of timesheets of staff
- Learn to enter paid invoices against systems such as Xero and other software
- Assist with general administration and ad-hoc functions as required

- Ability to manage workload efficiently while working autonomously
- Ability to multitask and have high attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong communication skills while liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to work on multiple projects to achieve cost-savings and to attain goals
- Ideally tertiary qualifications in a related discipline Business, Accounting, CPA member or recent graduate or studying.

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Job Type**: Internship

**Salary**: $20,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
