**The Role**
Australia’s schools and higher education institutions rely on consistent, accurate and reliable payment of government funding. The Australian Government provides $28 billion for government and non-government schools and $18 billion to higher education providers annually. This funding supports the delivery of high-quality education for all students.
The Education Funding System and Digital Services Division is responsible for the delivery of the Education Funding System (EFS) Project, building a new platform to improve the way we manage funding and reduce the administrative burden on schools and higher education providers.
The new platform will deliver an easy and streamlined way to:
- collect education provider data, which is used to calculate funding entitlements
- assess eligibility and calculate payments
- support users to comply with funding requirements, including acquittals, and
- provide standard reports for a range of users.
The department is seeking the services of an experienced Change and Communications Officer to deliver communication and change management activities, to support the implementation of the EFS project.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Change and Communications Officer responsibilities may include:
- developing communication and stakeholder engagement activities, such as presentations to internal and external stakeholders, talking points for senior executives, internet/intranet content
- developing communication artefacts to support the implementation of the new ICT system, such as user guides, instructional videos and FAQs
- supporting the delivery of change management interventions including, delivery of training products and support materials.
