**About the company**:
Established in 1965, our client is one of Australia’s most experienced manufacturers of custom-built boat trailers. Situated in Heathcote, and about an hour north of Melbourne, they are seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator to join their hard-working, cohesive team.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for leading the procurement of both domestic and international products to ensure effective and efficient supply.

Your duties will include:

- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve issues associated with shipment/transportation-related discrepancies and variances.
- Manage supplier relationships and plan and analyse inventory to forecast and meet customer demand.
- Support cost reduction initiatives in line with budget and the business strategy.
- Identify and evaluate new market trends and opportunities, to deliver market strategies and procurement decisions
- Oversee procurement processes, purchase order approvals, and supplier pricing.
- Develop procedures and processes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.

- Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritise your workload.
- Experience with ERP systems and a competent user of computer software packages.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
