As a Desktop Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in in maintaining and enhancing our end
- user infrastructure and providing exceptional customer service to our internal and external users. You will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring our systems and networks are secure, efficient, and reliable. This role full time permanent, based in Victoria (flexible depending on where the successful applicant is based). Day-to-day activities will include:
- Providing on-site and remote technical support for SYC’s IT hardware and systems.
- Coordinate, configure and maintain interfaces with digital systems as required.
- Documenting and updating all necessary technology-related administration.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Providing effective support for operational activities, including desktop support, hardware purchasing, goods receipts, and processing of invoices.
- Collaborating with various teams and managers to seamlessly integrate employees into their respective roles, ensuring user access, system requirements and expectations are met.
- Managing system updates, including the release cycle, assessment, communication, installation and testing of system changes/enhancements.
**About You**
As someone who has a passion in technology, you will provide a positive attitude in your work whilst striving for excellence and encouraging positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Desktop Support, Service Desk, or IT Support role.
- Previous experience in the development, implementation, integration, and administration of digital systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory users and groups.
- Strong Knowledge of Office365, Windows 10 and 11.
- Working knowledge and understanding of IP Networking concepts and Cyber Security.
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**For this role you will need to**:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or vendor certification.
- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Have possession of a current valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 4-5-star ANCAP safety rating.
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
