Case Assessment Officer | VPS 4 | 6 months with a view of permanency
**Your new company**
This position will see you working within a State Government department, based in Melbourne's CBD. You will be working with a well-established unit that is responsible for managing compulsory government land acquisition for various delivery partners and projects.

**Your new role**
As a Case Officer, you will provide business administrative support to Acquisition Case Managers and Senior Acquisition Case Managers in managing compulsory government land acquisition for various delivery partners and projects. In addition, you will:

- Assist Acquisition Case Managers and Senior Acquisition Case Managers in managing compulsory government land acquisition for delivery partners and projects.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain information and resolve issues related to land acquisition.
- Provide high-level administrative support, including maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence, and managing documents.
- Manage case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience as a senior legal secretary, paralegal, conveyancing clerk, or other potential admin support worker in property or a claims-based environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the compulsory acquisition process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration, legal studies, or a related field will be highly regarded.
