**The Role**
The Web Officer assists in the delivery of web projects and services, providing expert advice to internal stakeholders in the creation of web audience experiences. The Web Officer harnesses information and opportunities to improve the user journey and the user experience of both external and internal audiences in a large enterprise web environment. They will contribute their expertise to the continuous improvement of the enterprise web environment, via the provision of exceptional customer service, project delivery and training that guides the efficient and effective delivery of digital initiatives.

Working to the Assistant Director, the Web Officer supports the creation and compliance review of content on Defence enterprise websites, contributing their experience and audience research insights to the team. With excellent attention to detail, the Web Officer is able to prioritise work in line with broader organisation objectives and commit to tight deadlines when needed.

**About our Team**
Enterprise Web is in the Enterprise Transformation Branch in the Enterprise Transformation and Governance Division. Enterprise Web is a team of web experts, including web designers and developers, web content and audience engagement strategists, and web content publishers. The team works collaboratively and with a mindset of continuous improvement to optimise the user experience of Defence websites and support efficient delivery of web communication.

The Web Officer will have experience in digital technologies, audience research and digital design, a commitment to web standards, the ability to develop enterprise information architecture and experience with wire-framing and prototyping digital solutions. They will be responsible for data analysis in order to provide evidence-based strategic insights and recommendations regarding content performance, search engine optimisation, quality assurance and standards compliance.

They will develop and test information architecture, write and review draft content, prototype page designs, and work with stakeholders to iterate and continuously improve solutions. The Web Officer will contribute to web enhancement project delivery and enthusiastically assist with the operational tasks and triage web support requests.
