Friendly and bustling NFP organisation seeking Finance Officer to move up to Assistant Accountant in future

**Your new company**
You will be joining a well-respected not-for-profit organisation, based close to public transport links in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. This community-based organisation supports vulnerable people and pride themselves on their focus and passion to do the right thing.

**Your new role**
You will be working in a friendly team of 6 people, working closely alongside a very down-to-earth finance manager and Management Accountant. You will work closely with AP and Finance Manager, with responsibilities over reconciliations as well as supporting the team with reviewing the payment run, reporting on cashflow and month end tasks. You will take responsibility for the following:

- Bank reconciliations
- Month end reporting
- Cashflow analysis
- Supporting AP payment run
- Preparation of BAS
- Answering queries and problem-solving
- Contribute to the continual improvement processes
- Independently complete tasks to deadlines
- Progression to financial accounting duties in future

**What you'll need to succeed**
You'll be studying towards your CA/CPA and will have solid experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable processing and reconciliations. You will have a keen eye for detail and have demonstrated your ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly. You will be confident managing varying priorities, proactively helping the team and being hands-on. A sound knowledge of debits and credits, manual processing and use of Excel will be highly advantageous. Experience working in professional environment would be highly advantageous. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
