**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**

Due to an increase in workload, our Client; a Local Council based in the Western region of Sydney, is seeking for an experienced Finance Officer to assist in the increase in workload.

**ABOUT THE POSITION.**

An initial 3 month contract. Reporting to the Team Leader AP/AR, work in a busy and fast-paced environment. The role will require your ability to work autonomously, bringing on-board your strong administrative and data entry skills. Guidance will be provided for your success in the role, but you will be expected to possess a strong foundation in AP/AR.

**DUTIES.**
- Ensure the accurate processing of AR/AP transactions
- Recovery of outstanding debts
- Identify system and process improvements
- Assist with reconciliations related to AR/AP
- Ensure compliance with taxation obligations inc. substantiation, reporting, payment and administration

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.**
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or relevant
- Current NSW Drivers License
- Relevant computer skills
- Effective complaints handling skills
