Finance Officer required for an immediate start position that can be up to 100% working from home. Long term, ongoing contract. Great organisation.

**The Company**

The organisation are a large and highly regarded organisation based only a few km's from central Melbourne on the eastern side however this role can actually be 100% from home if required. It's a great company who are performing very well in the current climate. The company also have a very flexible and supportive culture and are happy to consider applicants who would prefer to work 30 hours as opposed to the standard 38.

**The Role**

You will work under a Finance Manager and will take on a busy and challenging position. This Position will commence as soon as possible, initially on a contracting basis, but it could very well lead on to a permanent position. Hours are full time (or 30 per week over 5 days if you prefer) and can be worked from home or in the companies' offices.

Some typical include:

- Management of a central inbox which receives funding queries and payments that relate to funding information
- Interpretation of these payments and queries and contacting stakeholders across the business to generate information
- Processing of incoming payments and assessment of tax and GST implications
- Use of excel daily to monitor and update spreadsheets
- Sekeing approvals from internal stakeholders

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in Accounts Payable or transactional accounting with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- Strong accounts payable experience
- Knowledge around GST and tax
- Strong excel skills
- Able to resolve AP queries
- Able to start in late October if successful
- Warm, friendly personality
