**About Advancement**
The Advancement Office aims to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships between the University and its alumni, friends and benefactors. It is responsible for the management of programs relating to alumni and benefactors and provides services to and works collaboratively with faculties and other central administration areas.
**About the Role**
As Program Officer, (Educational and Cultural Engagement), you will be responsible for the development and implementation of alumni relations events and engagement initiatives within the Advancement portfolio utilising both face-to-face and digital elements. You will run educational and cultural engagement programs including contributing to communications, research and information gathering on alumni, as well as CRM and alumni data management.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the implementation and delivery of engagement strategies and activities that connect alumni and friends to the University through rich intellectual and cultural content.
- Work actively with colleagues in the Faculty clusters, Chancellery and non-academic divisions across the University to deliver priority programs, events and activities.
- Provide support to other AR Program Areas or Faculty/clusters as necessary
- In conjunction with the Program Lead and the Coordinator, deliver activities aligned with both Advancement and Advancing Melbourne key and emerging themes and priorities including: _Indigenous Knowledge and Indigenous Advancement; _Infectious Diseases & Global Health; _Climate, Energy & Sustainability; and _Cultural Commons & the Creative Industries_
**About You**
You will be an organised and proactive person who thrives when working collaboratively within a team. You will bring to the role your experience in event management including all elements of event including marketing, and promotion, logistics and evaluation. You also have well-developed written and oral communication skills including high level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to draft, edit and proof communications materials.
You will also have:
- Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant alumni relations (or external relations) experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training as per the current Enterprise Agreement classifications
- Skills in project and program management including a demonstrated capacity to deliver projects and programs within time and on budget.
- Experience in stakeholder management with the ability to effectively build networks and liaise with a wide range of internal and external contacts
- Ability to recruit and manage volunteers to maximise the success of event and program outcomes
