Business Development Executive

Business Bank (BB) offer a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers along with our regional and agribusiness customers.
The core purpose of this role is to help deliver sustained profitable growth for the Bank by effectively and responsibly originating new business opportunities (principally commercial transactions) suitable for funding by the Bank from accredited intermediaries.
New business acquisition is a core strategic priority for BB and the Group. Accredited intermediaries are an important and growing source of new business for BB. Broker Agency & Specialist Services was established to help capture this opportunity.
In this role you will be expected to adopt a nationally consistent approach to broker relationship management, engagement and sales management to position BB as a leading provider of business lending products and solutions sourced through the intermediary channel.
You will be expected to ensure that you engage and conduct yourself in a client and Group centric manner at all times.
Reporting to the State Manager of Broker Agency & Specialist Services, this role will be required to drive activity across the commercial origination function in your state. In this role you will be part of the Broker Agency & Specialist Services team.
**Your responsibilities**
- Delivering outcomes consistent with agreed performance plans and metrics.
- Developing strong productive relationships with a portfolio of accredited broker intermediaries.
- Developing and support the maintenance of a Risk Aware business culture.
- Managing the business in a manner consistent with the Groups values.
- Building and maintaining productive working relationships with key internal stakeholders and business partners.
- Establishing and maintaining Service delivery to agreed standards.
- Conducting business activities within agreed and defined compliance and operating standards.
**Your experience**
- Business Banking (lending & pricing essential).
- Client facing sales and service-oriented role.
- Delivery of high Service standards.
- New client acquisition.
- Accountability for business outcomes.
- State based team.
- Developing effective working relationships with cross-functional dependencies.
**It will also be useful to have**
- Exposure to third party distribution functions.
- Knowledge of other financial services products.
**Your qualifications**
- Degree in commerce, accounting or business-related discipline.
- Post Graduate qualifications in relevant disciplines will be viewed favourably.
