**What You Will Be Doing**

The Department of Surgery (DOS) Administrative Assistant works within a team to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Department of Surgery. This is a critical position that enables effective communication across all Frankston Departments as well as broader Peninsula Health personnel.The Administrative Assistant team ensures effective functioning of all aspects of the department, including rostering, liaising with the Waiting List booking office, Outpatients, Emergency Department, Human Resources, Payroll and various other stakeholders across Peninsula Health.The DOS Administrative Assistant has specific duties in relation to payroll for the entire department of surgery, within the Orthopaedic Unit including in relation to coordination of the post arthroplasty review program and the ANZ hip fracture registry, and to support the Surgical Craftgroup Unit heads with unit-specific activities.

**Position Description**

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Experience at a senior administrative level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including professional telephone manner
- Experience within a health service (desirable)
